How do I create a team?
Creating a team can only be done by registered members. You will need to register and complete your profile to create a team.
Creating a team is done by first viewing your profile, then click the [Add] link next to Teams.
How do I join a team?
Joining a team can only be done by registered members. To join a team, click Teams from the main menu. Select the team you
wish to join, and select the [Request to Join] link next to the team name. A message is sent to the team owner. They will
approve or decline your request.
Can I invite people to my team?
Not yet. The only way to be a part of a team is to either create one, or request to join.
Do I have to be a member to register for an event?
Nope. That's one of our best features. However, creating an account makes the next time you register very simple
and easy. If you think you might register for more than one event through Raceregister.net, is it recommended that
you create a profile.
If you are racing in a series, it is highly recommended you create a profile to make life easier
on your race promoter. In a race series, promoters tally race results and points. If you register with two different
email addresses, or different information, it becomes very difficult to track your total points in a series.
I registered for an account, but I'm not listed in the racer list.
You are probably not done with your profile. If you received your new password, you will need to login.
After you login, you will need to complete your profile. After you complete your profile, you will be listed
on the racer list.
When I register, I type in my information and get an error on my email...says to use fetch list.
Once you become a member and complete your account, your days of entering your racer info are over.
We've made things easy for registered members. When you register for an event, all you need to do is click the
'Fetch Racer From..." button on any event's registration page. This will retrieve your profile information and
automatically populate the registration form.
Please note: You can register others for an event. This is a setting in the racer profile page. This feature
comes in handy when you are registering for a team event like and adventure race.
What does the "Fetch Racer From.." button do?
This button is very cool. If you have created and completed a racer profile, and have logged in, this button makes life
easy. All you need to do is click it when you register for an event. It will allow you to fetch your registration data
from your profile automatically... so you don't have to type it in.
If you belong to a team, you can select racers that are on your team that is selected on the registration form. Since
you can belong to more than one team on Raceregister.net, you need to make sure you have the correct team selected at the
top of the registration form, then click the "Fetch Racer From..." button.
You can also select a racer from the general Raceregister.net racer list. In the member profile, a racer can choose to allow
others to register for them. This is common for team events, or when a single person for a company is going to register many
people for a single event. Since there is private data being submitted to the race promoter, choosing one of these racers will block
out the screen to protect the user's privacy.
You can also choose to clear the form if you have made a mistake, or wish to select
a different racer.
I don't want to appear on the racer list. What do I do?
Login and edit your profile. Set your 'make profile private' to 'no'. This will remove you from the racer list and team lists.
Team creators/owners can still view/manage team members, regardless of this setting.
I don't see race results? Where do I find this information?
Race results are controlled by your race promoter. Results can appear on Raceregister.net, or via an external link to another
website. If you do not see your results posted, contact your race promoter.
